What is Live In Care?
For many of us our home is a treasure trove of memories where we watched our children grow up, where we laughed and where we cried.
Home to so many precious memories the thought of ever leaving can be worrying, particularly when faced with reduced independence and the belief a residential home admission is your only viable option to remain safe.
With Plus Point Care’s 24-hour live-in care service, a healthcare assistant or support worker can move into your home with you to provide a bespoke care service, supporting you to remain independent in the comfort of your own home.
Whether you have complex care needs or just require some support in doing everyday tasks, our 24-hour live in care team can provide a service tailored to your needs. Our 24-hour live-in care service affords your family and friends peace of mind, knowing that you are benefiting from the expert care of highly skilled healthcare professionals, in the place where you are most comfortable.
Unlike a care home where many individuals have to be considered, live-in care is a personal one-to-one service that is tailored to the needs of each individual. 24-hour live-in care provides a flexible care service, accommodating your regular routine and specific needs, as well as adapting to your changing circumstances.
We understand that having someone share your home can be a very personal matter. For this reason, our 24-hour live-in care team take extra care to match our staff sympathetically with your situation and personality, as well as your clinical needs. We also ensure that all of our 24-hour live-in care staff are fully briefed on your expectations and personal preferences.
Who is suitable for live-in care?
Our live-in care services are beneficial to you or your loved one when you need companionship, need help with daily tasks, need help with mobility or have experienced a change in your health, or living with a complex condition. Live-in care will allow you to remain in the comfort of your home with support from a carer.
Live-in care can be on a long-term basis or respite basis to allow the primary caregiver to take a much-needed break. All live-in carers undergo extensive recruitment and selection process which include interviews, reference checks, and DBS checks. They are also trained to cater to complex conditions such as dementia and motor neuron diseases.
How our live-in care is managed?
You will be provided by a carer that is trained and matches your personality and interests. This ensures genuine continuity of care and the chance to create a trustworthy relationship between you and your assigned carer.
Our care managers will visit your home regularly to assess if your care plan is working well and if you are happy with the care services being delivered to you. They will also do regular monitoring which includes formal reviews after every 6 months, yearly feedback questionnaires, and ongoing monitoring of any concerns. Care managers will also provide ongoing training to carers enabling them to provide the highest quality care to you.
